Simple questions. Will quicktime pro convert .mov files into other formats such as mpeg? Also, will it convert other formats into .mov? I need this to be able to be easily played in various windows machines and on websites that favor microsoft.

Yes it will convert from and to other formats. You may want to put a Quciktime version and a Windows media Player version on your site. Also compress for web and quick start.
Google "qucktime settings for web" for more info.
Good luck.
