Importing AVCHD Lite movies to iMovie
I am having trouble importing movies from my new Panasonic FZ35 point and shoot camera to my Mac. The movies were filmed in AVCHD Lite format. When I transferred my photos and movies from the camera to my Mac, iPhoto imported the jpgs and iMovie imported the movies. However, the movies are out of sync. The audio sounds fine but the picture is speeded up, so it is out of sync (and the film finishes before the audio finishes--so the complete audio is not heard). I think I may have to convert the movie files before editing or viewing them in iMovie, but am not sure how to do this. Help is appreciated. thanks

Thanks. I was able to make the conversion with a free download of a program called Handbrake.
