Hi All,

I have a couple of questions with iMovie 11 and would REALLY appreciate anyone who can answer any of them to get through my frustrations of a new Mac owner

1/ Is there picture quality loss at the end of the project for those file types used that have to be converted to iMovie friendly files?

2/ Is there any way to bring in a 3-4 clip without it spreading out in framed boxes across the screen, ie: just one short video shown as a whole (I’m only wanting to play with the audio levels so I don’t need to see the video broken up).

3/ Is there a video and audio ‘fade in and out’ mechanism for the start and end of each clip if I want to fade in and out to black? If so where are the options for this?

QUOTE Thanks

1. There is always some loss of quality through any conversion.

2. There are sliders at the bottom right of both the Events window and the Project window where you can adjust the scale of how much of your clip is on view.

3. For video fades look at the Transitions pane, and for audio fades type "adjust volume" in the iMovie Help and look at "Adjust the volume of a portion of an audio or video clip"
