    iMovie folders
Apparently one cannot store imported data in iMovie in a custom folder; it all goes under the folder with the "imported" date. I'm looking for a simple program that allows me to make custom folders and sub-folders.

    Can anyone offer advice?

iMovie now works a bit like iPhoto in using it's own filing system. Just import and use the Events library to sort your footage. If you do a Project and then mess around moving imported footage elsewhere, then your Project won't run. If you import video, and then move it to your own Folder, you'll have to re-import it to use it in a Project, and it will just end up back in Events.
