Hey all, I have an older PPC version of Final Cut Express HD and I just bought a spankin new MBP. If I install it it wants to use rosetta to run it. Will software updates make it run in UB for 10.5?

thanks for the help!

If it is only PPC coded, then I don't expect any update is available. To check, see this wikipedia article. It indicates that version 3.5 was universal binary, so that could work since that would include Intel code.

As far as I recall, people were saying Rosetta wasn't a real option for Final Cut. Maybe someone will come along and say otherwise.

When asking questions, post the version of your software. You'll receive better answers.

Please post your results to the thread as it is good feedback.
