How can Toast compress a movie that I ripped using Mac the Ripper?

I ripped a movie and I am trying to use Toast to compress it at save it to my desktop but I can't seem to figure it out. Every time I press the red button it says that I need to insert a DVD. Thank You!

click on "save as disc image".

im assuming this is a non copyrighted DVD.
