Movies and Vids wont play in iTunes

I transfered all my songs from my iMac to my new MacBook Pro and my songs play fine but nothing happens when i click play to watch a vid or purchased movie. Im on the most current version of itunes. What am i missing?

is your software up to date (as in quicktime, mainly)? try repair permissions in disk utility.

have you got perian installed? what are the formats of the videos? are you sure you copied them correctly?
