I couldn't see any post on this but apologies if it has already been asked.

I am able to burn a dvd in toast which will play on my DVD player but it has no sound on the DVD but on the computer the avi file is fine.

and

I am able to convert an avi file to mp4 using VLC but the converted file has no sound on the computer.

Would anyone know why this is and be able to advise how to resolve this.
QUOTE Thanks

Nothing amazing just qt which is my default program for mp4 doesn't seem to like the files.

They play fine in vlc,iTunes and on the DVD.

Encoder seems to have stopped working on vlc so am using handbrake to convert files.
QUOTE Thanks
