Hello,

Whenever I try to add an image into my Final Cut Express project, the image quality is severely reduced.

Attached is a picture of what happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yes, the image has been rendered.

I'm not sure about the image settings. What should they be? Would a different format be better? The images are currently .jpg.

well im an audio student, an amateur when it comes to video, but i thought i would at least try and help you work it out.

So im not exactly sure what the "right" settings would be, but im guessing that maybe you are set on a DV setting rather than a HDV setting which would degrade the video slightly.

have a look in A/V settings, at the sequence preset, and see what you are working on.
