better quality for vhs to digital - elgato or a Sony GX300 DVD recorder ?
Anyone know what would yield better quality in digital format for converting VHS tapes, a new elgato connector w/ software going from VCR directly to a macbookpro, or renting an old Sony GX300 DVD recorder and going from VCR straight to that?

Hmm, probably little in it, but the DVD recorder option is much much easier, and less time consuming by far.
