You can stitch files together in ffmpegx. It really depends on what you are doing, I'm curious.

icebox 01-26-2011 02:28 PM

Hi. im a newbie so im forgive me if i ask some dumb questions. this vob file is a concert and they are split into 4. by the way, what is ffmpegx?

Kevriano 01-26-2011 02:38 PM

Ok, so you have 4 .vob files. Are they taken from a DVD source?
Can you tell me the individual size of the files, or the total size of all 4.
Also, what version Mac Os are you running (Leopard, Snow Leopard?)
Finally, what file format are you converting from in Handbrake?
The more info I have the more I can help, basically.

icebox 01-26-2011 02:48 PM

each file is 1gb. my mbp is snow leopard. i converted it to mp4.

Kevriano 01-26-2011 04:21 PM

Ok, so 4 x 1GB VOB's?
That makes a dvd.
Put those 4 VOB's in a folder named VIDEO_TS, and burn them to a DVD. You should have a fully working DVD that way.
Be aware that discussion of downloaded material is often shunned because we can't discuss illegal activity. I will not point that finger here, but better to make you aware.

thank you. that was given to me. thanks... i think it is from a dvd though. it has a folder like that already.

Kevriano 01-27-2011 07:31 AM

So you should have no need to convert at all.
You can open VIDEO_TS files in DVD player or VLC, and play the content from there, or burn to disc as I suggested.

you can join them into 1 continuous VOB segment with D-Vision3, but i doubt you need to do that for what you are trying to achieve.

icebox 01-31-2011 05:34 PM

yeah i already put it on a disc. thank you. i had to coz whenever i play it thru vlc, i had to open each folder. where can i get the D vision3?

robduckyworth 01-31-2011 08:13 PM

Download D-Vision for Mac - Encode Divx with Mencoder. MacUpdate.com

to join it into 1 VOB its in the tools section i believe.
