Hey there!

I am trying to play an m2ts file on my macbook using vlc media player, but it is very laggy. The picture is great, but the video won't play through without stopping every second or so.

Do I need some type of codec extra download?

Thank you in advance!

VLC is not great for these files. Get Plex, a superb media player that plays faultlessly. It's free too.

Hi Dodger, were you able to try out Plex, any results? VLC should be adequate for playing these files, I am able to play them from my Canon Vixia camcorder quite well. How much RAM does your computer have? Have you tried not running any other apps when attempting to play the files in VLC?
QUOTE Thanks
