This is probably the wrong section of the site to ask this question so Mods ... feel free to shift it if you can find somewhere better to put it.
I have a Logitech QuickCam 4000 Pro webcam that simply refuses to work with Snow Leopard. There is a very hard to install work-around for Leopard which is NOT supported by Logitech but it ain't worth downgrading. So what I need really is a list of webcams from various makers that work with my OS.
Does such a thing exist?
Otherwise, my only option would seem to be to go to every maker and check every model of webcam for compatibility?
The other bad news is that I don't want to pay upwards of £100 for a webcam that may or may not work. Still, birthday in March so you never know, lol
ps ... The new Mac Mini Alu was my Christmas present. The trouble with letting people like me loose on the interweb with a debit card is that I now have the latest Mac Mini Aluminium running at 2.4 GHz with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, 320 HDD and OS X 10.6.5 all wired up to a 70" LED screen ...... And not the faintest idea of how to use it.
