    Final Cut Express
    Can somebody help me with final cut express?
    I want to sub an video thats .avi format,
    I can open it but when I want to drag it to the other things so I can work on it it turns red and says: Codec can't be opened..

    and if I want to play the normal video on FCE it turns white if I pause it and I stays white even if I want to play it further ;___;

    I also installed, Livetype
    but can't even open the .avi file there because it says it doesn't open that kind of formats!

    I would convert the AVI file to a QuickTime file containing the AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) video codec and and PCM audio at 48khz at 16 bits.

    I'm sure there are plenty of threads here about converting and tools that can be used.
