    converting old 8mm camcorder to digital
    i'm a new mac user and was wondering if there was a way to transfer my old 8mm camcorder videos to digital using my macbook pro. any help (in dummy format) would be awesome! thanks in advance.

    20" Intel iMac 2.4 Ghz/3G Ram/320HD, Snow Leopard. PBook G4, 1.5Ghz/1.5 Ram/250 HD, Leopard 10.5.6.
    Assuming you have a playback method (8MM Camcorder or player) then you need an analogue to digital converter and you can then use iMovie or similar.

    They start cheaply enough

    But it depends on the quality you want.
