    I-Movie - Space Saver
I know lots of folks have asked this - on lots of blogs. In I-Movie '09 can you trim 10 minutes of footage down to less (i.e. 3 minutes) and then actually keep ONLY the 3 minutes that you trimmed to form a new movie and save space by deleting the rest?

First, it is iMovie, not I-Movie.

Type the word, reject, into the search box of the Help menu. Choose "Deleting unwanted video clips fr..".

Oddly, I tried that method and iMovie would not let me actually delete the clip. It is suppose to cut what you send to the trash out of your clip, and when you empty the trash using the Finder, you free up disk space.
