Post FCE and mpeg2 playback component
Hello! I've just bought Final Cut Express 4 and i'm trying to extract a homemade DVD with Mpeg Streamclip to edit in FCE, but Mpeg Streamclip says i don't have the mpeg2 playback component. Isn't this component installed by FCE?

You may want to try ripping it with Handbrake instead of mpegstreamclip and rip it to an mp4.

I don't honestly know if FCE would support importing mpeg2, but if it did, you'd probably need to get the quicktime mpeg2 component.

No, FCE doesn't come with the MPEG-2 Playback Component. FC Studio, I believe, does.

It's only $20 however, it's probably worth getting.
