Hey there this is my first thread.

I have a quiz night coming up and I have a macbook and I'm going to be using a Toshiba LCD TLP-T50M projector to show movie clips that will be using as guides to questions. Just wanted to know what cords I will need? DVI to VGA adapter?

Connecting your Mac to your TV

That question cannot be definitively answered without knowing which MacBook you have.
No MacBooks have a DVI port. It will have either a mini-DVI or a mini displayport.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
