idvd question

i just got dvd studio pro, and it looks like it has all the idvd templates, so i'm planning on uninstalling idvd before putting in dvd studio. but i'm not quite sure how to uninstall it--will just dragging to application to the trash remove it? there's no installer file that can uninstall it. also, does anyone know if its correct that with dvd studio, idvd is obselete? thanks!

I wouldn't recommend uninstalling it, as it is a part of iLife. It doesn't take up much room anyway.

As with most "good" applications, you just uninstall by dragging it to the trash. However, some, probably including iDVD, scatter files on your HD. I would definitly leave it, you may need it in the future.

DVD studio does not make, iDVD is obselete. DVD studio is more of a professional DVD creator application, whereas iDVD is just an entry level DVD creator application. Both have their places.
