Question about editing in iMovie HD

Hiya. I'd like to put a different clip in each square on the N-Square or quartz action/effect in iMovie HD and was wondering if I just drag the clips to the squares, or how do I set it up? Thanks.

As I recall, the N-Square effect is just for one picture or video clip.
