I have several home videos that are not on DVD. I am interested in taking clips off these DVD's and making a music video of sorts for my parents 35th wedding anniversary.

My question is what is the best MAC software that allows you to just take clips off of DVD's?

Thanks

Not quite sure what you are planning here are they on DVDs or not.
Anyway this is quite capable but would have no idea if it is the best for what you want.
Download MPEG Streamclip for Mac - Convert MPEG-1/MPEG-2 files, transport streams in several formats. MacUpdate Mac Software Downloads

I am looking to edit together a bunch of clips from a bunch of different DVD's and edit a sort of music video.

My question is what is good low/mid level range software that would capture a few scenes from a DVD to DVD maybe some minor effects? I looked into Xilisoft DVD Ripper, and that sounds like something I would like. I just wanted to see what else ids out there

Sincerely
Mark DiNatale
