Is there a certain movie format that imovies will accept as input to new project? I have tried files that Quicktime Player can read but imovie rejects them.
Thanks,
Jack

What version of iMovie are you using?

What version of QuickTime Player are you using?

Open one of the problem videos in QuickTime Player, then use Command-I to see the specs on the file and report those to us too.

CameraTime - Time lapse photography for novice and advanced users.

When asking questions, post the version of your software. You'll receive better answers.

Please post your results to the thread as it is good feedback.

iMovie likes DV and MP4 format. It can accept *certain kinds* of AVI files as well.
