A guy was telling me that I needed to install various types of codec in my Quicktime application to view different types of video.

I don't quite understand what it is, where I get it and where I put it.

if you have qt pro, codecs are also useful for editing and converting audio and video. I know I have a lot, I love qt pro.:mac:

The sad fact is, some codecs do not exist for the mac and some AVI files will not play on a Mac.

but those avi can be converted easily using various apps producing a file that will play.
