Video Capture for Desktops?Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a video-capturing device that will record footage from my Xbox 360, but I'm using a desktop (Mac Mini). The two are roughly 10 ft. away from one another, & I'm also using a Samsung HDTV. I've searched the net for solutions, but most of the user-reviews for products relate to laptop usage.
I'm trying to stay within a $100-200 budget. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

EyeTV should be able to do that. All you need to do is pipe video from your XBOX into the EyeTV and capture the video with something like iMovie, using EyeTV as the source.
Check it out:
Elgato - North AmericaLiquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

I think you misunderstand what he needs - he's needing/wanting to record his xbox play on his Mac so he can edit/distribute it. To do this, he will require video capture hardware, which either will come with software or interface with iMovie (or other video editor) - a screen capture program won't solve his problem.
My Macs: Late 2013 rMBP w/ 750m, 16Gig ram; 2013 Mac Pro 6 core w/ D700, 16Gig Ram; Mac mini G4, 1.25 GHz, 512m ram (server); Late 2011 11" MBA, 1.8GHz i7, 4Gig Ram, 256Gig SSD, HD3000; Powerbook 12" G4 1.33GHz running Linux; Apple TV (1080p version)
