Hi Guys!

I have a HP Pavilion Desktop and a PowerMac G4(Specs to side). If I import my footage on my HP and save it as a h.264, will it play and work with final cut? and if it will, how long do you think it would take to render a 1 minute 720p scene?
QUOTE Thanks

I honestly don't know for sure if it will, but from what I've read, your machine is below the min tested processor to be able to *play* 720p at full framerate with a single core. ( see: Everything Apple: True requirements for H.264 HD playback ) If you could edit/render/export on that machine I could only imagine that it would take quite a while, even for short segments...

My Macs: Late 2013 rMBP w/ 750m; Mac mini G4, 1.25 GHz, 512m ram (server); Late 2011 11" MBA, 1.8GHz i7, 4Gig Ram, 256Gig SSD, HD3000; Powerbook 12" G4 1.33GHz running Debian as a server; Apple TV (1080p version)
QUOTE Thanks
