Trying to decide on a mac and version of final cut for editing video - documentary for film festivals working with HDV and possibly, in future, HD.

Ability to convert video to Pro Res is important. Can FCE do this? Any recommendations for hardware?

Thanks!

Compare the FCE specs to the FCS specs. That could change with a new release of FCE.
