I'm not sure what is causing the dvd player to quit but while trying to watch a movie it quit unexpectedly on me about 4 times. I copied the error log if anyone could please help me?
I would run Disk Utility form my install disc and verify permissions first, this may well fix it. You may as well verify the HD at the same time, just in case.
If that fails, trash the plist file for DVD player and then try opening it and playing a disc.

I did that and it worked all day yesterday, I finished watching the movie but today it started "unexpectedly quitting" again. I'm wondering if using an alternative dvd player would work?
In the meantime, you can use VLC which will play DVDs.
As for the error, I'm at a bit of a loss. The error has something to do with DVD Player trying to access memory it doesn't have rights to (I think) but aside from that, I can't discern any recognizable problem or solution. If I find something, I will report back.
A technical description of the error is here if you're interested.

Thank you. I'm just so frustrated with it quitting all the time
