Is there a reason why I can not import through my camera now that I have iMovie HD. It works when I use a tape but will not allow me to import tapeless?

I don't have an answer to your question, but how do you import with out a tape.

Using a Canon I would run my DVD into the AV in (mini miniPlug). Then in play mode the DVD would pass through the camera to iMovie. For some reason it is not working now that I'm using iMovie HD?

I am trying to figure how to get my wedding video on to my PowerBook with the Canon Optura 20 in between the VCR and the PowerBook.

Also what are the settings on the camera. Is the camera in VCR mode or what?

ya, it is in play or VCR mode, then you would need to go into the menu and select AV/ on to allow it to play in. But for some reason since I added iLife05 & Imovie HD it will not allow me to import through the camera??? I'm going to have to record it on DV then import it..ads an extera step
