I have been trying to convert my online movies from AVI to MP4 but i am using MPEG streamclip and it seems like each movie is taking at least an hour i was wondering if there was a faster way to convert them. if this question has been answered in a previous thread im sorry but i couldnt find the answer. I dont know if this helps but i want to put the movies on DVD-Rs so i can play them on a blu ray player. I am also big noob when it comes to this so i would need step by step directions if any one is willing to do this it would be greatly appreciated

isquint and Visualhub are both very good programs. If I am correct, if you have a g5 or newer, it will convert much faster. Anything older will convert in about real time. (Length of the movie)

Yeah, this is true. I have a MBP and it flies through files.

So, what did you try with it, an avi file or a video_ts folder?

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
