hi all..

so i've been trying to import some Flip video files into FCP. i've been exporting the Flip files into .mov files. no problems there.

i just notice that every time i try to move my footage in the time line, it has to be rendered. EVERY TIME! this kills my workflow.

is there any way i can change or get around this?
QUOTE Thanks

Sounds like you first need to convert that from the codec contained in the .mov file to something friendly to FCP. Likely a DV format or AIC (Apple Intermediate Code) with 48Khz audio if I recall right. I would just open the file in QuickTime Pro and save in an appropriate format.

CameraTime - Time lapse photography for novice and advanced users.

When asking questions, post the version of your software. You'll receive better answers.

Please post your results to the thread as it is good feedback.
