Im trying to download a legal movie with no copy rights. Im trying to 'filter' the extensions that my os10.4 will open and use but everything comes up as a zip file that is basically an exe. window application.
I guess my question is which ext. can i select (when i download legal 'anything' with no copyrights on them) so everything i get is able to open with my mac?
I have trans & lime6.

thanks

I have two suggestions:

1) when you search in Limewire, include the term mac, or for mac, or something like that.

2) A better solution is to download a free program called iSquint. It can take almost any video file and convert it into and mp4, which iTunes can play. download it here:

Correct, that .exe is a self extracting file that runs on Windows.

This tip, "Unzip a Windows self-extracting .exe zip file" may be helpful.

I found that by putting the following words into Google;
Quote:
"OS X" extract from self extracting exe file

When asking questions, post the version of your software. You'll receive better answers.

Please post your results to the thread as it is good feedback.
