I am using an iMac dual core, iMovie HD (latest version) on 10.4.11, Canon Elura 100 recording in DV widescreen.

I did a dumb thing and was careless when importing the footage. The preferences were set incorrectly (and I had not yet read about possible problems with DV widescreen and not switching to Edit from Import mode). I now have a project that was shot wide but is effectively in a 4:3 format with black bars top and bottom. Then I reused the tape and have lost the source material so I can't simply re-import into a new widescreen project.

Is there any way to perhaps export then re-import into a new "DV widescreen" project in a way that eliminates the top and bottom black bars?

Thanks very much.
QUOTE Thanks
