Mac on LCD TV Problem

I have a Mac Book and bought necessary cables to hook up to my tv. However, only my desktop picture shows up, and not my dock or top menu. Was wondering if anyone knows if a certain setting has to be selected. Thanks for the help in advance. |

If in mirroring mode: I turn off overscan which results in leaving a very narrow band at the top and bottom of the screen. Some TV's will also have overscan setting adjustments available. I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
