You want to export using the QuickTime option. See my iMovie Export Guide for details. Then manually upload to YouTube.
I have a YouTube guide on that main page too. It needs to be updated for HD and HQ. Also, I'm not sure if YouTube is still limiting uploads to 100MB for non Windows users. CameraTime - Time lapse photography for novice and advanced users. When asking questions, post the version of your software. You'll receive better answers.
