I have the latest WMP player installed, but for some reason it won't work. For example, there should be an audio player on this page, but it's just a blank box that says, "Plug-in Content."

I personally don't like WMP on OS X because of reliability issues like the one you're describing. Chances are there are Quicktime add-ons/alternatives that can play everything WMP can play, and do it without being as much as a resource hog. I recommend flip4mac for WMV's. VLC is also a reasonable alternative as well.

Note that Microsoft has dropped support for Windows Media Player on the Mac, so it's very likely that you're using an old version that just doesn't support more modern media types.

Install Flip4Mac, Perian and VLC Media Player. That should keep you covered for the vast majority of media types out there.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
