imovie subtitles - need help!

When I create my subtitle, the preview shows it playing where I want it placed i.e. where the playhead is, but when I put it into the time line it goes to the beginning of the movie. What am I doing wrong? I've tried this several times to no avail!

I appreciate the help.

Tell us the iMovie version you are using.
