Final Cut Pro 5 Major Problem!

Hey guys, I started up Final Cut Pro 5 and got a message saying my "documents" folder or something is offline and I needed to do something to preserve the data? I can't remember what the actual message was. I changed it to my external drive and now what happens is everytime I try to start the application it just shuts down before it loads up.

I tried a re-install and it changed nothing. Any ideas? thanks

Did you do a time-machine back up befoer the issue? If so, just replace the FCP folder with the older version. I've seen that window before but I can't recall what I did to fix it (pre-timemachine)

I didn't do anything with time machine, now I can't even get to that window. Final Cut pro just shuts itself down when trying to load. How would I replace the FCP folder?
