quicktime fullscreen from internet

Hi, i'm new to mac. I don't want to buy quicktime pro to play movies/clips from sites. I read that i don't need to spend $30 for qt7pro and that there are 3rd party apps for this that would enable me to view in full screen mode. Can some one please guide me in the right direction?

But VLC won't play embedded quicktime media on the internet.

If this is about Apple/Trailers, you can download em for free from the iTunes store. Otherwise, I'd like to hear a solution myself.
