    Mid-Range Alternative to iMovie
    Hi All,

I'm a recent Mac convert and one the reasons I bought one was because I loved the look and ease of using iMovie 08, but to be honest I'm a bit disappointed. I even preferred Windows Movie Maker, and I hated my PC! I downloaded iMovie 06 but that just feels like I'm going backwards, but I do like the themes that it has.

Can anyone suggest a mid-range alternative? I'm using MiniDV, would like the ability to create nice DVD menus as well in the same package. I'm not looking for anything too expensive, is it all too much to ask?

iMovie IS mid-range. In my opinion, you won't find anything decent for cheaper. Just buy iLife.. You'll be happy you did.
