Lately i have been having problems when i convert an AVI to MP4 in Visual Hub. With certain movies i convert, the audio lags a few seconds and doesn't match the mouth movement. Is there a way that i can fix it? I need to convert the AVIs to MP4 because the device i put these on doesn't support all codecs of AVI, and it seems to accept MP4 for the most part.

I have found that the free ffmpegX in conjunction with the video codecs supplied by Perian works just fine, no problems so far

MPEG Streamclip is also great for making mp4s from AVIs

Both come with presets for apple TV or ipods

Thanks i just tried it, and you know what happened, i made the MP4 from the original AVI, but when i went to play it in Quicktime, no audio came out. I did render it with audio though, i remember that. see that's another problem i have been having lately. Quicktime hasn't been playing my movies with sound either. Even if i max out the volume, it still won't play.
