Commercial DVDs are encrypted to prevent unauthorized copying. In the US it's illegal to break that encryption. Elsewhere it has been ruled that you can break the encryption for the purposes of playing the media on an unsupported platform. I believe this forum sticks to the US law, and won't allow breaking any encryption to be discussed.

Distributing unauthorized copies of copyrighted material is illegal just about everywhere.

Discussion of any technology that circumvents copyright protection, therefore violating the DMCA, which is part of US law is prohibited by our forum rules.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
