I recently bought a DVD on Ebay. I didn't realize that it was for region 2. Is it possible to change it so it can play on a region 1 DVD player?

Be aware that this might not be enough to playback your movie. Region 2 is Europe, which uses a different video broadcast standard (PAL not NTSC). I don't know if your DVD player can handle that.

If you can return it to the seller, tht would be ideal. The term you are looking for in buying a DVD player is "Region-Free" ... they play ANY DVD's from anywhere in the world. Good luck!
QUOTE Thanks
