I'm attempting to rip my DVD collection to create a library on my external hard drive. I have the connections set up so I can watch them through my macbook on the television. But I'm trying to create this "movie library" of my legally owned DVDs basically for convenience and a little bit of fun! My question is with Handbrake. The program was recommended to me for this purpose, but I'm not clear with all the different settings options. Does anyone know which settings would work best for my purpose?

Unfortunately, even though you are trying to rip legally owned DVDs, it's still against the law to break the encryption on those DVDs, which makes it against forum rules to discuss.
