Question iTunes question

Hi everyone,
In preparation for my first ever iPhone (or iPod for that matter) I've been ripping CDs like mad today. Now I have a lot of music, and have used iTunes for a few years now. I've never had an iPod so don't have a clue how the syncing works with it. I've just ordered a 32gb 3GS and there's no way I'll fit all my music on it. However, I do wan't to rip all my CDs and have them stored in iTunes on my computer. My question is, Can I manually select what albums I want on my iPhone? For example, as soon as it arrives I will sync it up but there are certain albums I don't want on there so much. Can I still have it auto-sync in future and it will always leave out those certain CDs unless I tell it to?

Hope that makes sense.

Short answer is yes. You can . Just set up playlists that you want on you iPhone and everything will be fine. There is a check box when you sync that will allow only what you CHECK to be synced. This will apply for Apps, photos and all the other good stuff you can sync to your iPhone.
