iPod Touch - Deleted OS

i have somehow managed to delete the OS off of my touch um if someone could maybe tell me how i can reload it back on or if anyone knows anything about what to do that'd be appreciated.

Plug it into the computer. Run iTunes. Select "Restore" (it should prompt this automatically anyway).

Well how on Earth did you "accidentally" delete the OS off your iPod Touch in the first place?

Unplug the IPT. Hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds. Release the power button but continue to hold the home button. That should set it into limp mode. You can then plug it back in. iTunes should take care of the rest (follow the prompts).
