iPod - My 2nd Gen Nano Has Sound Issues

Hi
I have a iPod Nano 2nd Gen that when i play songs they keep pausing for some reason. It goes fine if i do a reset but only for 2 hours. Reformatted twice hasn't solved don't want buy another one.
