iPod - headphones only play out of one side

what can i do to fix it, it kinda looks a little corroded inside but i never got it wet and apple wont fix it for free...any suggestions?...and yes i HAVE tried diffrent headphones

did it do this suddenly, happen over time, or did you just not use it for a while and then found it like this when you tried it again?

you could try to find a very small and very fine wire brush - maybe at a hardware store.
