Go to 'settings-> About' and see if it says 'Format:Windows'
If it doesn't, you'll have to go to your control panel, administration and then 'drive administration' (some of the names might not be quite right, I only know the german ones) Then select your ipod in the 'phsical drives' menu. It should say: external drive - unknown format Right click the drive in the lower right window and select 'format' or 'partition' Repartition the drive to FAT32 and it should be recognised by the ipod installer straight away. BEWARE: you will lose all data on the iPod by doing this... |
