iPod - No sound of Ipod

Member Since: Feb 20, 2007 Posts: 180 Mac Specs: 2.0 C2D Black MacBook, Ram = 1gb, 120gb HDD	11-22-2007, 11:46 PM My Ipod seems to operating correctly, but I can't get any sound out of it at either the headphone jack or the bottom connector. Also, the music list on my Ipod is grayed out when I view it on itunes. Could this be related and how do I play the music on my Ipod through my computer? TIA
