iPod - Does a new iPod Classic 80GB work with 10.5 Leopard

This may be seem very simplistic but I want to really want to sure.
Will my iPod Classic 80GB which is specified to work with 10.4.8 or above work with my Mac G5 10.3.9 once I have upgraded it to 10.5 Leopard?
Does anyone here use an iPod with Leopard successfully?

Mac system requirements
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later
iTunes 7.4 or later
If you meet those requirements I don't see why it would not work. Unless there is user error.

sanity1082 has a spectacular aura about
Mac Specs: macbook/iphone/ipod nano/ipod shuffle
Ii use both a nano and a iphone with leopard not a problem.

ipod compatibility is more based off itunes rather than the OS.

yeah, i've used an 80g iPod Classic, an iPod Nano (3rd gen), an iPod Touch and a 5th gen iPod w/Video all with Leopard, and they work no problem

this is on an Intel mac though, but I doubt whether you'll have any problems
